Tropical Bliss Cruise

Join Melissa, owner and designer of Unmistakable Creations, and Alison Bevis from Craft Avenue Distribution, for an unforgettable 8-night scrapbooking adventure aboard Voyager of the Seas. As we journey to the stunning South Pacific, you’ll participate in four fun-filled workshops led by Melissa and Alison, where they’ll share their expertise and passion for scrapbooking. Whether you’re a seasoned pro or new to the craft, these workshops will inspire your creativity and provide you with new techniques and ideas.

A highlight of this cruise is our port stops at Luganville, where you can explore the breathtaking Champagne Bay and the picturesque Mystery Island. Between crafting sessions, you’ll have the chance to relax on pristine white sandy beaches, swim in beautiful blue lagoons, discover vibrant underwater worlds, and enjoy some of the best duty-free shopping in Vila.

With everything taken care of—from your accommodation to meals and workshop supplies—this is the perfect combination of creativity, adventure, and relaxation. Reserve your spot today for a crafting escape like no other!

More details about the actual classes and what you need to bring will be provided closer to the cruise date. Once you confirm your attendance, you’ll have the chance to join a private Facebook group where you can get to know fellow participants and ask questions before we set sail.

HOST / Instructor - Melissa Kennedy
As my business name states, we are all unique and unmistakable creations. Made up of everyday life experiences, growing and changing with each new day.

I've been fortunate to have been a part of this Industry for now well over 25 years and as mentioned in my very first blog post on this website, now starting to see how everything learnt along the way is coming together. I have been extremely fortunate to have had the opportunity to work with some big companies within this industry, learn (and still learning many design skills, as well as being an educator in an industry, that has taken me around the world a number of times.  “Are you for real – you seriously cut and paste for a living and travel the world”  (imagine the English accent spoken here) as one guy said to me on an trip overseas…  never really looked at it that way until then and thought – yeah actually I really do…  Now its great to be able to give this same opportunity to other educators in the industry as they join me on some of these cruises.

Along with my love of photography and travel, I am one of the fortunate ones who has been able to turn my hobby into not only a job, but a business. I still laugh when my beautiful girls inform me i don't have a real job.

Love (did i say love) getting my hands dirty, I LOVE PAPER, love exploring new techniques and would say my style evolves depending on the type of projects we are doing.  I'm not afraid to try something new and that is something I try to get across to those in my classes - there are no mistakes - only UNMISTAKABLE and unique creations .... oh did I mention I love to LAUGH and to have FUN!!!

But moreso than anything else on these cruises - I love watching people do something for the first time.  Whether that be a new technique in class or something they have wanted to tick off their bucket list and thought they wouldn't never do.  The belief in themselves that grows with that achievement, the excitement on their faces (yes you can see it) is something that makes the crazy hectic busy times all worthwhile.

Look forward to seeing you on board.

Alison Bevis

Alison is the Owner of Craft Avenue Distribution and any cruise with Alison is fun.

Alison enjoys making things and gifting them to others.... from cards, mini albums, scrapbook pages or off the page projects. Creating for fun is what it's all about!!
After travelling around Australia and returning to Brisbane, joining her aunt at some Stampin' Up! card classes allowed her to continue a papercraft journey. Alison joined the Kaisercraft DT, demo'ed and did some casual hours at the Browns Plains outlet before organising day events including Workshop Wonders, Bus Trips to the local stores, Retreats and Cruises. Alison has also been included on the Imaginarium Designs and Couture Creations DT plus various guest spots.  In October 2017 she asked her friend Shelley to be partners in The Crafty Chain and was busy with weekly classes, exhibiting at shows and even travelling to the trade shows in Phoenix USA and Frankfurt to source new release brands and products... this led to starting a new business Craft Avenue Distribution.

You will need to bring along a normal basic scrapbooking tool kit.  Similar to what you would bring to any retreat.

Items to definitely include:

  • craft matt – needs only to be a small A4 mat but something to use with your craft knife.
  • craft knife
  • small scissors (blades to be no longer than 4″)
  • edge distressor
  • adhesives….lots of them  (include tape runners/adhesive tape and glues for embellishments)

Optional Extra’s  (not necessary but certainly helps if you have them

  • mini mister
  • apron
  • baby wipes (to clean up your area and hands) – no taps in the conference room to wash hands.

You will be given a kit for each class that is included with this cruise.

Feel free to bring along any other project you may be working on.   24/7 Access to the conference room during the cruise.

Closer to the sailing date I will give you photograph requirements which you can either bring from home or cut up white card stock to relevant sizes so you can use on layouts and replace with a real photo when you have a suitable one.

These more details class requirements (if any) will be given out closer to the cruise.
