Join Sofie, owner and designer for Scrapmatts and the talented Kim Ewins on this Scrapmatts cruise which has something for everyone.  Each teacher offers a different style. Kim style is soft and pretty, with lots of layering, Sofie likes to use colours and textures, to create unique designs. You will have so much to learn and be inspired by, to take your crafting to a new level. Classes will be jam packed full of designs and product, with some extras to create in your spare time. The private classroom will be available to use 24/7, with ocean views, so you can craft when you feel like it.

As an added bonus, you will create and decorate a book to keep all your cruise memories in.

BOOKINGS /  DEPOSITS / PAYMENTS

Bookings are made by completing the online booking form which will be directed to Jo Patton - Travel Managers where an agent will contact you to confirm  and discuss cabin requirements.

A $200* deposit will be required to guarantee your position. You will receive a reservation number once you have directly paid them the deposit.  Full payment for balance of cruise/any other travel arrangements made and the scrapbooking portion is payable and due by the date indicated on your invoice.

 

 
 

SOFIE ROSSIDES
Hi, I am Sofie Rossides, owner and designer for Scrapmatts, an Australian company manufacturing Chipboard & Stencils, along with my husband Andrew.

We are based in Sydney and have worked together in the Craft Industry for 33 years, I still don’t know who deserves the medal for patience. I often have an idea in my head and I need to get it out and make it work, which usually happens and create something unique. Andrew has a great passion for machines and enjoys the challenges I create for him.


My new passion is designing paper to complement Scrapmatts Chipboard, often it is challenging to find the correct paper, colour and size to fit on a card, so I just create my own.

I am a passionate paper crafter and I first started playing with colours and textures from the age of 11, which later lead us to run Craft Shops for over 25 years. I also enjoy creating layouts as well as Off The Page projects.

Having been a card maker for many, many years, I have a lot of knowledge and technique to share. Teaching throughout Australia, as well as overseas, I always enjoy seeing the results of my students. I also run crop days in Sydney as well as Retreats in NSW and Qld.

I am really looking forward to combining two of my favourite addictions on this cruise, teaching card making and cruising, a perfect combination.

KIM EWINS

My name is Kim Ewins. I live in Orange which is in the central west region of NSW. I have been papercrafting for the last 13 years. I currently design for Scrapmatts and 3 Quarter Designs. I have been blessed to have designed for online stores such as, Craft Queen, Scrappy Chat Designs and Anna’s Craft Cupboard . I have also created for challenge blogs, such as ‘Scrap Around the World’, ‘Scrap The Boys’ and Stuck Sketches’.

Teaching classes at the Melbourne & Brisbane Scrapbooking and Papercraft Expo’s was definitely a highlight for me a few years ago. I also teach on occasion, at a craft store in Young, NSW.

I love scrapbooking, card-making and making over-sized tags. I would describe my style along the lines of shabby chic, using lots of layers and flowers, but not always.

 
 
 

You will need to bring along a normal basic tool kit.  Similar to what you would bring to any retreat.

Items to definitely include:

  • craft matt – needs only to be a small A4 mat but something to use with your craft knife.
  • craft knife
  • small scissors (blades to be no longer than 4″)
  • edge distressor
  • adhesives….lots of them  (include tape runners/adhesive tape and glues for embellishments)
