HOST and Instructor - Alison Bevis

Alison enjoys making things and gifting them to others.... from cards, mini albums, scrapbook pages or off the page projects. Creating for fun is what it's all about!!
After travelling around Australia and returning to Brisbane, joining her aunt at some Stampin' Up! card classes allowed her to continue a papercraft journey. Alison joined the Kaisercraft DT, demo'ed and did some casual hours at the Browns Plains outlet before organising day events including Workshop Wonders, Bus Trips to the local stores, Retreats and Cruises. Alison has also been included on the Imaginarium Designs and Couture Creations DT plus various guest spots.  In October 2017 she asked her friend Shelley to be partners in The Crafty Chain and was busy with weekly classes, exhibiting at shows and even travelling to the trade shows in Phoenix USA and Frankfurt to source new release brands and products... this led to starting a new business Craft Avenue Distribution.

Holly Jolly will be the 4th Scrapbooking cruise Alison has arranged, she also joined the Cardmaking and Cocoa Vanilla Studio cruise in February 2020 before her Hawaii (April) & South Pacific (December) were cancelled... she has fond memories of cruising with Melissa Kennedy in February 2014.

...and LOVES Christmas!!

Sue Smyth even Edited, Australian Scrapbook Ideas and Cardmaking in Easy Steps for several years. Later she wrote her own book 3 D Papercraft Projects. The many years of experience creating and teaching in the Scrapboooking and papercrafting world, has led to designing her several paper ranges for Ultimate Crafts and Couture Creations, and now Vampyre Rose for Bee Arty. Now she designs her own ephemera sheets Artsy Treasures, found in stores around Australia. Sue has two distinct styles, with an assemblage mixed media side, honouring the artist side, and a shabby chic layered look that celebrates paper, both styles are a visual feast for the eyes.

  • OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

You will need to bring along a normal basic scrapbooking tool kit.  Similar to what you would bring to any retreat.

Items to definitely include:

  • craft matt – needs only to be a small A4 mat but something to use with your craft knife.
  • craft knife
  • small scissors (blades to be no longer than 4″)
  • edge distressor
  • adhesives….lots of them  (include tape runners/adhesive tape and glues for embellishments)

Optional Extra’s  (not necessary but certainly helps if you have them

  • mini mister
  • apron
  • baby wipes (to clean up your area and hands) – no taps in the conference room to wash hands.

You will be given kits for each class so its not necessary to bring along other scrapbooking products unless you have something specific in mind you want to work on whilst away.

Closer to the sailing date I will give you photograph requirements which you can either bring from home or cut up white card stock to relevant sizes so you can use on layouts and replace with a real photo when you have a suitable one.

These more details class requirements (if any) will be given out closer to the cruise.
