HOST and Instructor - Alison Bevis

Ahoy!! How much do we love to cruise... and scrapbooking is a bonus!! I love to document our memories and to be creative too. We've lived in Brisbane for about 12 years and during that time I've taught and worked at the Kaisercraft outlet in Browns Plains, also enjoyed a few years on their Design Team... will always love the papers and brand. I've also created for Imaginarium Designs and Couture Creations until almost 2 years ago decided to purchase a Craft store with friend Shelley. Together we navigate the craft seas in our bricks and mortar store, Retreats, Shows and of course a Craft Cruise!!

Sue specializes in mixed media, with a shabby chic or gothic style and designs projects for Imaginarium Designs.

And a very special welcome on board to two gorgeous ladies whose faces are not new to those in the industry.
Karola and Anna all the way from Poland. All of you on this cruise are in for a treat.

Mintay Papers Owner and Creative Director. Since 2004, when I fell in love with scrapbooking as an idea and the possibilities it offers, my passion continues and with time it became a professional job. For many recent years I have worked for many well-known brands in the papercraft industry, both as a product offer consultant, product designer, inspiration designer as well as an educator. At the moment I am focusing on developing my own brand and sharing passion by running creative workshops around the world.
Mintay Papers Educator and Marketing Manager. I am scrap addict. I started scrapbooking in 2009 as a way of documenting my new adventure - becoming a mom. It quickly grew into a bigger hobby. I discovered my passion for mixed media and painting incorporating them into layouts and albums. Scrapbooking became a very important part of my life. I started sharing my knowledge by teaching live classes and creating my own YouTube channel. I met friends from all around the world and I no longer "get bored" in my life.

You will need to bring along a normal basic scrapbooking tool kit.  Similar to what you would bring to any retreat.

Items to definitely include:

  • craft matt – needs only to be a small A4 mat but something to use with your craft knife.
  • craft knife
  • small scissors (blades to be no longer than 4″)
  • edge distressor
  • adhesives….lots of them  (include tape runners/adhesive tape and glues for embellishments)

Optional Extra’s  (not necessary but certainly helps if you have them

  • mini mister
  • apron
  • baby wipes (to clean up your area and hands) – no taps in the conference room to wash hands.

You will be given kits for each class so its not necessary to bring along other scrapbooking products unless you have something specific in mind you want to work on whilst away.

Closer to the sailing date I will give you photograph requirements which you can either bring from home or cut up white card stock to relevant sizes so you can use on layouts and replace with a real photo when you have a suitable one.

These more details class requirements (if any) will be given out closer to the cruise.
