HOST / Instructor - Melissa Kennedy
As my business name states, we are all unique and unmistakable creations. Made up of everyday life experiences, growing and changing with each new day.

I've been fortunate to have been a part of this Industry for now well over 25 years and as mentioned in my very first blog post on this website, now starting to see how everything learnt along the way is coming together. I have been extremely fortunate to have had the opportunity to work with some big companies within this industry, learn (and still learning many design skills, as well as being an educator in an industry, that has taken me around the world a number of times.  “Are you for real – you seriously cut and paste for a living and travel the world”  (imagine the English accent spoken here) as one guy said to me on an trip overseas…  never really looked at it that way until then and thought – yeah actually I really do…  Now its great to be able to give this same opportunity to other educators in the industry as they join me on some of these cruises.

Along with my love of photography and travel, I am one of the fortunate ones who has been able to turn my hobby into not only a job, but a business. I still laugh when my beautiful girls inform me i don't have a real job.

Love (did i say love) getting my hands dirty, I LOVE PAPER, love exploring new techniques and would say my style evolves depending on the type of projects we are doing.  I'm not afraid to try something new and that is something I try to get across to those in my classes - there are no mistakes - only UNMISTAKABLE and unique creations .... oh did I mention I love to LAUGH and to have FUN!!!

But moreso than anything else on these cruises - I love watching people do something for the first time.  Whether that be a new technique in class or something they have wanted to tick off their bucket list such as just this - a trip to Alaska, and thought they wouldn't never do.  The belief in themselves that grows with that achievement, the excitement on their faces (yes you can see it) is something that makes these trips all the more special.

Look forward to seeing you on board.

Scrapbooking class kit will be posted out to you prior to the cruise.

You will need to bring this along with a normal basic scrapbooking tool kit.  Similar to what you would bring to any retreat.

Items to definitely include:

  • craft matt – needs only to be a small A4 mat but something to use with your craft knife.
  • craft knife
  • small scissors (blades to be no longer than 4″)
  • edge distressor
  • adhesives….lots of them  (include tape runners/adhesive tape and glues for embellishments)

Optional Extra’s  (not necessary but certainly helps if you have them

  • mini mister
  • apron
  • baby wipes (to clean up your area and hands) – no taps in the conference room to wash hands.

You will be sent kits in advance of this cruise to bring along with you due to freight costs and also so you can include with your luggage and know how much space you will need.

Closer to the sailing date I will give you photograph requirements which you can either bring from home or cut up white card stock to relevant sizes so you can use on layouts and replace with a real photo when you have a suitable one.

More details on the requirements for each class will be given closer to the cruise date but due to being an overseas cruise and luggage limits it should be minimal.
