Cathy Cafun

Hi there! My name is Cathy Cafun and I live in Queensland with my husband, 2 children and 2 fur babies, who are the inspiration for most of my scrapbooking creations and who very patiently… well most of the time… put up with me constantly trying to capture them on film!!

I have always dabbled in some form of arts and crafts throughout my life, but nothing has quite captured my heart as much as scrapbooking, which I was introduced to, by a dear friend over 11 years ago. Since then it has become an all-consuming passion and is part of my daily life.

If I had to describe my style, I would say it is predominantly shabby chic/romantic, but I am very partial to the grungy distressed look when creating masculine layouts. My pages, cards and BTP projects always have elements of texture and dimension and I find any form of mixed media, fussy cutting, layering and distressing a wonderful way to achieve this.

I am currently designing for ‘The Dusty Attic’ and have been fortunate enough to have been part of some amazing Design Teams here in Australia and overseas.

Being part of the Scrapbooking Industry has allowed me to share my passion for papercrafting, by teaching at various stores and events. The highlight of my journey so far, has been teaching classes at the Scrapbooking and Papercraft Expo in Brisbane and Melbourne, but there always seems to be something new and exciting on the horizon… The Workshop Wonders on Water Event being one of them. I am so very excited to have been invited back to share my love for papercrafting with you all!!

If you would like to see my creations, pop in to my blog at
