Leonie Neal-Dawson

‘Hi there I’m Leonie, let me tell you a little about myself.

I live in Geelong, Victoria with my Husband and four children age between 12 and 16 years.  I work night shift as a Registered Nurse and in any spare time I get I like/love to papercraft.

I started scrapbooking about 15 years ago and I guess you could say that scrapbooking has forever changed the way that I record and preserve my family’s stories.  It started out as a hobby but has evolved into my creative passion!  I love to create fun; bright mixed media type backgrounds for my pages and layer it together with patterned papers and embellishments to show off my family snaps.

In the last five years I’ve been fortunate enough to be published in magazines and on some amazing Design Teams including a Scrapbooking Memories Master, Faber Castell Design Memory Craft, Kaisercraft and I am presently on the team for Imaginarium Designs Chipboard Company.’

Natalie May

Hi there. My name is Natalie May.
I’m lucky enough to be a full time paper crafter and I couldn’t be happier!
I teach around 15 classes a month in SA and design chipboard for Imaginarium Designs. I have been a 2016 Scrapbooking Memories Master, an Intermediate Certified Copic Designer, Educator for Lindy’s Stamp Gang, product Ambassador for XPress Graphx and love everything inky & colour based.
One of the things that keeps me interested and teaching is that I love to create in all styles.  As much as this industry likes to ‘Pigeon Hole’ people, I believe I am a versatile artist – I regularly teach not only scrapbooking layouts but also Cards, Mixed Media Layouts, Paper based Layouts, Vintage & Ancestry Layouts, Beginners scrapbooking & card classes, Big Shot classes, Art Journaling, Abstract Canvas Art, Copic Beginners Classes plus Kids classes, Birthday parties and whatever else I can come up with.

As an Educator for Lindy Stamp Gang, I especially love to create with their products and educate people about mediums, textures and general products.

I love this industry … the opportunity to teach a new technique…. Meeting so many amazing people…..and to be able to CREATE everyday is quite a blessing.
You can view more of my work at … and find me on Instagram under happydaks andFacebook as well.

Sharon Pick

Hi I am Sharon and I have always enjoyed some type of craft throughout my life. I began my scrapbooking journey around 12 years  ago and have been  teaching for 8years. I have taught at 5 different stores in Queensland and NSW and  have been lucky enough to be able to incorporate my acquired knowledge from my many other crafts into to my scrapbooking. During my teaching I have had the privilege of teaching classes at Kasier Craft Browns Plains for 4 years. My passion is mixed media and metal embellishments.  I love showcasing products I use and believe in teaching technique rather than just a project .

I want people to  walk away from my class with the knowledge and courage to try new things . I love sharing my passion with others  and love it when those I teach out shine me.

I believe that art can cure many ills and its cheaper than therapy.

Sharon Pick

You will need to bring along a normal basic scrapbooking tool kit.  Similar to what you would bring to any retreat.

Items to definitely include:

  • craft matt – needs only to be a small A4 mat but something to use with your craft knife.
  • craft knife
  • small scissors (blades to be no longer than 4″)
  • edge distressor
  • adhesives….lots of them  (include tape runners/adhesive tape and glues for embellishments)

Optional Extra’s  (not necessary but certainly helps if you have them

  • mini mister
  • apron
  • baby wipes (to clean up your area and hands) – no taps in the conference room to wash hands.

You will be given kits for each class so its not necessary to bring along other scrapbooking products unless you have something specific in mind you want to work on whilst away.

Closer to the sailing date you will be given more detailed list of requirements.

In regards to photograph requirements which you can either bring from home or cut up white card stock to relevant sizes so you can use on layouts and replace with a real photo when you have a suitable one.
