Bookings are made by completing the online booking form above, which will be directed to Geelong Travel where an agent will contact you to confirm and discuss cabin requirements.  No actual deposit/payment is made through this website.

A $200 deposit will be required to guarantee your reservation and this is then payable to Geelong Travel. You will receive a reservation number once you have directly paid them the deposit.  Full payment for balance of cruise/any other travel arrangments made and the scrapbooking portion is payable and due by the date indicated on your invoice.

DAY 4

As were are in and out of the Sounds today – a formal structured class will not work.  Therefore you will have today spare to work on finishing past classes but will also receive a class kit.

The Maori believed a divine mason carved Milford Sound. The fjord is a geological wonder of the ice age, where waterfalls cascade over sheer cliffs into the dark waters below and mountains dominated by Mitre Peak reach towards the sky.

Part of New Zealand’s Fiorland National Park, Dusky Sound was long the site of Maori camps but few permanent settlements. Captain Cook spent five weeks exploring the dramatic coastline that edges the mountainous wilderness.

These nicely appointed rooms are excellent value.  The standard stateroom offers two twin beds, a private bathroom and all the facilities of a standard staterooms.

You don’t have to bring actual photographs but if you could possibly cut up white cardstock/paper to the following required photograph sizes it would be great.  This allows you to continue working with the class, finish the layout and then replace the white cardstock with a photograph when you return home.  Alternatively you can keep it on your page and use it as a photo matte.  As many of my photographs are printed with a white border this is a great way to crate that same effect.

Class/KIT 3  – SCRAP STUDIO (Kaisercraft)

This kit will be handed out at the end of Class 2.
As we will be going in and out of the SOUNDS today, it would be too distruptive to run a proper structured class.  Therefore a generous class kit is supplied. You can either use this to create the layout on the instructions provided or do your own create scrapbooking.

The kit will include instructions to create to create two single layouts with the option to make an additional mixed media layout.

Single Layout 1- One 10cm (4″) Square Photograph of YOURSELF
Single Layout 2 – One 10cm (4″) Square Photograph of YOURSELF or someone special.

Class 4  – SET SAIL (Celeb8)

Dare i say leave the best until last.  No these ranges are all some of my very favourite for this year but i have to admit this paper is lovely and very appropriate for this cruise.

In this class you will be creating a double and a single layout with heaps of paper leftover that you can use for your cruise creations.

Photographs Required:
Double Layout
– One 6″ x 4″ Landscape.
– Two 4” x 6” Portrait
– One 4″ Square
– Two 4″ x 3″ Landscape

Single Layout
– One 6 x 4″ Landscape and One 10cm (4″) Square 

Other Products Used in Class (These will be supplied to share but if you want to bring your own thats ok)
– Brown Ink Pad (Walnut Distress iNk)
– Distress crayons (picket fence, antique linen, fossilized amber, peacock feathers, mermaid lagoon)

 

 

 

You will need to bring along a normal basic scrapbooking tool kit.  Similar to what you would bring to any retreat.

Items to definitely include:

  • craft matt – needs only to be a small A4 mat but something to use with your craft knife.
  • craft knife and ruler
  • messy matt or some blending matt (to put ink and modelling paste on etc)
  • small scissors (blades to be no longer than 4″)
  • edge distressor -(to distress the edges of papers)
  • brown ink pad – (e.g. Tim Holtz – walnut ink is my go to ink pad)
  • Blending tool to use with the ink
  • Pallet knife or old credit card (to use with modelling paste)
  • Mini Mister (to spritz and water down inks etc)
  • adhesives….lots of them  (include tape runners/adhesive tape and glues for embellishments)
  • Baby Wipes

Optional Extra’s  (not necessary but certainly helps if you have them)

  • Dimensional Magic (Modpodge) – or Glossy Accents (Ranger)
  • Permanent Black Ink
  • Acrylic Block for stamping

You will be given kits for each class so its not necessary to bring along other scrapbooking products unless you have something specific in mind you want to work on whilst away.

Closer to the sailing date you will be given more detailed list of requirements.

In regards to photograph requirements which you can either bring from home or cut up white card stock to relevant sizes so you can use on layouts and replace with a real photo when you have a suitable one.
