We welcome the following two gorgeous ladies as instructors on this cruise.
I live in beautiful South Australia with my husband and daughter. I have been a devoted card marker and have been paper-crafting for over 19 years. I love creating, inspiring others and experimenting with different techniques and products. It is a hobby and creative outlet, which I am totally passionate about. I believe that preserving memories are important, and scrapbooking is a great way to create lasting treasures and memories.
My layouts style is distressed, shabby chic with a vintage twist with lots of attention to details. Another passion of mine is card making and creating altered art pieces, turning everyday items into works of art.
I am currently on the Contributing Design Team & Brand Ambassador for Couture Creations. I have been on many Design Teams including Kaisercraft & Imaginarium Designs and have been published in many magazines around the world.
I am so looking forward to cruising with you all and sharing some of favorite tips and techniques using the wonderful products from Couture Creations.

Hi! My name is Jo-Anne Simons (tho most call me Jo) and I live in Perth Western Australia.I’m a stay at home mum to 3 teenagers/young adults and happily married to the love of my life all of whom feature heavily in my work.
About my work – I love to create layouts and cards. I would describe my work as clustered, clean and pretty. Oh and I love a white background and have a fetish for doilies! Although I love to dabble in mixed media – I tend to always come back to my clean simple style.
Scrapbooking for me isn’t just about memory keeping, it’s an outlet to be creative and just unwind from the daily stresses of life. I don’t really follow any rules in my papercraft – as long as I enjoy the process and I am happy with the end results, then that is all that matters!
Currently I have the honour of being on the Design Team for Dusty Attic and Kaisercraft. Prior to that I had the pleasure of designing and working for Couture Creations for 4 years.

You will need to bring along a normal basic scrapbooking tool kit. Similar to what you would bring to any retreat.
Items to definitely include:
- craft matt – needs only to be a small A4 mat but something to use with your craft knife.
- craft knife
- small scissors (blades to be no longer than 4″)
- edge distressor
- adhesives….lots of them (include tape runners/adhesive tape and glues for embellishments)
Optional Extra’s (not necessary but certainly helps if you have them
- mini mister
- baby wipes (to clean up your area and hands) – no taps in the conference room to wash hands.
You will be given kits for each class so its not necessary to bring along other scrapbooking products unless you have something specific in mind you want to work on whilst away.
Closer to the sailing date I will give you photograph requirements which you can either bring from home or cut up white card stock to relevant sizes so you can use on layouts and replace with a real photo when you have a suitable one.
More details on the requirements for each class will be given closer to the cruise date.
